Hi, I’m Angie Whittemore.
The hospitality marketer behind Findable.Travel. I help small hotels, B&Bs, and vacation rentals get found online and booked direct.
Hospitality Is Home for Me
I’m from Panama, and I live on Isla Colón in Bocas del Toro, a Caribbean island town that runs on tourism. I’ve served on the board of directors of a chamber of tourism and spent years working alongside the hotels, B&Bs, and tour operators that keep a destination thriving. I’m also a host myself: my husband and I run a bed and breakfast here, which we also rent as a vacation rental. Every strategy I recommend, I’ve tested on my own property first.
I’ve also worked with the destination marketing organization of one of Panama’s top travel destinations, helping develop its brand and its official tourism website. And I’ve built travel websites that grew to more than 20,000 visitors a month, so I know what it takes to get a destination, and the properties in it, found online.
Every strategy I recommend, I’ve tested on my own property first.
Doing SEO Before It Had a Name
I’ve been building websites and getting them found since high school, back when that meant submitting sites to Yahoo by hand. I’ve run my own digital marketing agency for more than 15 years and led digital marketing for some of Panama’s largest hotel groups, resorts, and real estate developers.
That’s the same work Findable.Travel does today for short-term rentals, B&Bs, and small hotels: Airbnb optimization, Booking.com, Expedia, and Vrbo setup, channel manager integrations, SEO for hotels, and websites built for direct bookings. Findable.Travel brings that experience to independent properties anywhere in the world.
You Work Directly With Me
Findable.Travel is my freelance brand. No account managers, no hand-offs: when you hire Findable.Travel, you work with me. I take on a limited number of properties so each one gets my full attention, and I work remotely with owners worldwide, in English and Spanish.
Why I Do This
I love hospitality, and I love the tech side of it: channel managers, booking engines, search rankings, Google hotel ads, social media, and the systems that quietly decide who gets booked. Most of all, I love watching a property take off once the work is done. Views go up. Rankings climb. The first direct booking comes in. It happens every time.
I also share what I learn along the way. Read my guides for hosts and hoteliers on OTA changes, channel managers, website SEO, and getting ready for peak season.
